Now, the criteria for the PMA Long Course Selection Procedure have been set. The Pakistan Army assigns points, scores, and marks to each selection procedure, and these marks are factored into the ultimate order of merit for each candidate. PMA Long Course

Pakistan Army desires to select qualified candidates for regular commission officer positions and establish a procedure for doing so. Regular commission officers of combat and combat support branches and services are eligible for the PMA Long Course.

The PMA Long Course lasts two years and is divided into four terms of six months each. Training for two years at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA).

The PMA Long Course Selection Procedure is typically announced in March–April and October–November. 500 PMA candidates are ultimately selected for each course.

Preliminary Selection

the following will be included in the initial test with the weightages assigned in the module.

1. Written Intelligence Test

This test will be based on MCQs from the following:

  • Verbal
  • Non-Verbal
  • English
  • Math
  • Pak Study
  • Islamiyat
  • General Knowledge

2. Medical Examination

Candidates who clear the initial test will be called for Medical Examination.

If a candidate has any issues with his medical examination, he will be referred to the CMH closest to him for a thorough examination.

3. Physical Test

Note: It’s mandatory to pass all events that are mentioned in the above table.

Passing all events listed in the schedule above is required. Any candidate who fails the physical test is deemed to have failed. If a candidate fails the physical examination, they will be prohibited from submitting the ISSB form.

4. Interview

  • Candidates who pass the written, medical, and physical examinations will then be interviewed.
  • Rather than brigade-by-formation, S&ROs and psychologists are responsible for brigade management. Before each interview with a candidate,
  • A 10-line essay must be composed in English and Urdu.
  • Before the interview, a blank sheet of paper for essay writing in English and Urdu will be distributed. The day’s topic will be written on the whiteboard in the examination room or atrium.
  • Each candidate will receive two out of twenty points. Candidates with fewer than 12 points
